This book is a must read for any poker lover. Anyone that grew up playing poker and gambling etc would love this book, especially because they would be able to relate themselves to the author in so many ways.
Once A Gambler The Drift follow the amazing autobiographical story from Once A Gambler The Espace. In this second part, the tone is pretty much the same as part one an autobiography told with wisdom and guts. The poker aspect is more present is this part and merge with synergy with the life aspect. The book is crescendo in intensity with an apotheosis in the chapter “The Wounded Soldier”. It is hard to tell something about this chapter without spoiling since it is the penultimate chapter of the book but I can tell this this chapter is very neat, worked and marks a key moment in the book. The author's feelings are described brillantly in this chapter.
Once A Gambler The Drift is like the eye of the strom, now it is time to wait for Once A Gambler third part which will be a “snap call in the dark”.
I can't wait for the next book. This is so descriptive of how a lot of professionals I know, are. It could really help others to know that we all have a lot of these same insecurities and tendencies.
Great Part 2 of Mikka story with very entertaining stories.
